About Bay Head Beaches

Daily beach badges can be purchased at the Bay Head Improvement Association (BHIA) office on the corner of Mount Street and Lake Avenue. Badges cost $5.00 a day for ages 12 and up. There is no charge for children under age 12. The BHIA office is open from 9am to 4pm daily, June 18th through September 25th.

Please be aware that Bay Head is a small, quiet community with no changing rooms or public restrooms. While no food or beverage is allowed on the beach, sandwiches and subs can be purchased at the local grocery store or restaurant two blocks from the beach.

One mile north of Bay Head is Point Pleasant Beach where there is a commercial boardwalk and many restaurants and entertainment. Visitors can take advantage of being close to this active resort area, while still enjoying the quiet bed and breakfast inns, hotel and unique shops of Bay Head.
